The majority of these pieces feature cabachons of semi-precious stones, vintage glass or resin. Glass findings are featured in many of these and are particularly appropriate for those who are sensitive to metals. In most case when metals are used, the findings will be of sterling silver, vermeil or gold-filled. Materials used will be listed with the larger images. The beaded bezels on those pieces with semi-precious stones are open backed so that the virtues of the stone will be in contact with the wearer's body. Only bead embroidered pieces or ones with objectional or uncomfortable reverses will have a backing. This jewelry is made to be worn often and is as strongly constructed as possible, often with a softflex wire core beneath the beadwork.
